I know, I'm pathetic. Like every diary I've ever owned, this blog is just floundering.
I'd love to blame it on Ravelry (I do so love that site) but honestly I've barely updated on there, because I've barely been knitting. Those gorgeous stripy socks from the previous post, well they're almost long enough to start calf increases, and I'm not sure how to incorporate them into the (ridiculously simple) pattern. My brain just refuses to compute it. Meh.
I knit 3/4 of a mini-cardi in my handspun merino silk, then lost momentum. Ditto my seasilk shawl (seriously, what the fuck is wrong with me that I don't want to knit with SEASILK!). I made awesome progress on my Belle shrug, until I had to rip back almost 8" of the second sleeve because I only made one decrease per 8 rows, instead of 2. That one really hurt.
So my mojo is broken. Clearly what I need is serious knit-therapy, and since I can't really justify the retail type of therapy, it'll have to be the social.
I'm taking the bus to go see The Yarn Harlot's book release on April 1st. Who's with me?
